This time we're rounding up the categories for that little bit extra. Business lunches set in lavish surroundings serving tasty fare for a bargain; wine lists with bottles from crisp Reislings to rich Medocs; and afternoon tea, a civilized affair famous for light pastries, sweet cakes and fresh cucumber sandwiches.

Best: Capital M "It's easy to see why most people love this place, on my list for "M"ust go again soon"

Outstanding: The Ritz-Carlton Traditional Afternoon Tea, Ritz-Carlton Beijing "Old World elegance, plush comfort – everything you’d expect from this hallowed name"

Outstanding: Afternoon Tea at Raffles, Raffles Beijing Hotel "The inimitable Raffles experience is taken a step further with sumptuous culinary creations to delight every palate"

Outstanding: Afternoon Tea at The Lounge, Park Hyatt Beijing: a residential style, all-day dining venue, offering a serene environment, simple Western and Asian comfort food.
