Shunyi Rocks! Rynostock This Saturday

This weekend’s music festival takes the stage out in Shunyi. Rynostock, a charity rock festival, plays all day Saturday at Pomme O’Shea’s - and unlike other recent festivals, beer and other drinks are guaranteed to be flowing in abundance.

Now in its seventh year, Rynostock is an annual charity music event held to raise cash for Care For Children run every May at Pomme O’Sheas (formerly The Pomegranate). The festival at the tiny Shunyi bar brings beer and BBQ along with the music - although it's not Beijing's biggest festival, it's good fun and for a worthwhile cause - for an RMB 20 donation to charity, you can't argue.

The day’s lineup includes the Beijing Beatles, Ryan Kester & co, Bad Apples, End of the World, Berlin Mummies, Maggie Who, Big Metal Door, Zuo Gao Su, Out of Control feat. Ann Maire, and more.

For anyone that hasn’t been out to the Pomme, we highly recommend calling the bar for specific directions, or hopping a ride with someone that’s been.

Rynostock takes place at Pomme O'Shea's on May 28. RMB 20 (donation to Care For Children). Noon-late.
