Win Tickets To Shanghai Scenesters Show Tonight!
JUE Festival is nearing its climax but that means a weekend of great music and art before we say goodbye for another year. Bizarrely, this last weekend here in the capital is "Shanghai weekend." Luckily for us that doesn't mean a rise in the number of bankers, failed French footballers or "hilarious" Sh*t Expats Say videos. No, what it means is we get some musical delight from down south. The pick of this is the AM444 and ROM show at 2 Kolegas tonight. We've got a pair of free tickets to giveaway. Read on to find out how.
Here's what Split Works have to say about the performers:
AM444 is the new project by Shanghai-based vocalist ChaCha (Sub-Culture, Uprooted Sunshine) and Dutch producer Jay.Soul aka The Groove Architect. After years of thoughts, discussions, and drunken promises, the pair hit the studio and produced some of the freshest and most exciting sounds to come out of Shanghai.
Shanghai, like any other city, has it’s rock bands, it’s DJs, it’s producers, but there’s only one ROM -- a uniquely schizoid multimedia fustercluck of analogue anxiety and satire. ROM is MC/producer icenine, producer/DJ Blaise Deville, and visual tactician Olive Pixel.
Sounds unmissable. And there's no need to miss out. We've a pair of tickets for one lucky reader. To win them all you need to do is answer this question: In computing what does ROM mean? Email your answer to win@thebeijinger.com by 2pm today. We'll be in touch with the winner soon after. Good luck.
