In the Beijinger Galleries: A Festival Snapshot
May has been the month of the music festival. Whether you want to see what you missed or find out the latest festival style, we’ve got a glimpse of some of the latest galleries below.
Strawberry, Ditan and the Great Electronic Music Festivals all helped kickoff the summer season over the Labor Day-holiday weekend. How did they all compare to each other in terms of acts, price and overall mood? Check out our reports on Strawberry, Ditan and Great Electronic to see whether they made the grade. Midi also took place over the weekend, and even without those photos, you can at least check out how it ranked here.
Taking place May 5-6, Hanggai Folk was the sole festival in town last weekend. Local and international folk acts, led by organizers and Mongolian-folk band Hanggai, brought colorful music and dancing to Mako Livehouse during the two-day stint.
If you missed any of these, the summer is still young and there are plenty more music events coming up. For the end of May, you still have China Music Valley Festival from May 18-20 or to INTRO on May 26 in nearby 798 to look forward to.
