We asked the new head bartender at Atmosphere for his thoughts on Beijing’s mixology scene.

Which city is the hottest in the world for mixology?
At the moment, I think it’s Berlin. It will take time until Beijing can compare with the big cities, but the time will come.

When’s the last time somebody ordered a drink and you didn’t know what it was?
Last week. Unfortunately we can’t know all recipes, but we can try to make something similar.

What’s your favorite drink?
At the moment, it’s a Gin Fizz: gin, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and soda. Easy but refreshing on a warm day.

Do you ever just want a Tsingtao?
After a long day, I won’t say no.
