Rev Does a Runner: US Rapper Postpones Beijing Show

More heartbreak at the hands of a US hip-hop star who was supposed to reach Beijing today when Rev Run and DJ Ruckus pulled the plug, for now, on their scheduled appearance at Elements on Friday night (July 20).

The news comes as a big blow to Elements e-Club as Rev was arguably the biggest name to take the stage at the new Gongti super club since it opened its doors last month.

We spoke to Elements and learned that the good Reverend is having some family issues currently, but fully intends to get his Asia tour back on track before long. We do hope he remembers that we can find out if he's lying or not by tuning in to the next series of Run's House. Lying is a sin after all. Anyway, there was no further information yet on when the Asia tour might happen.

Here's a taste of the Reverend at his best with RUN D.M.C and Aerosmith to tide you over for now.

At least Elements were honest about the cancellation. I remember a certain club in Shanghai who had the same thing happen when they booked Judge Jules, so they just went scouting for a lookalike and had them stand on stage pretending to DJ.

So, as a heads up, if this event suddenly goes ahead at Elements, do your homework before buying a ticket! :B
