Drinking In the Election: Win 京A's Limited-Edition Beer
We may not know just yet who will be occupying the White House for the next four years, but surely there's no better way to celebrate victory (or drown your sorrows) than with a six-pack of election-flavored beer. If you've heard of White House Honey Ale, thought to be the first brew ever concocted in the American president's mansion, you'll also know that they recently published the recipe, to the delight of home-brewers everywhere. Beijing craft-brewers Alex Acker and Kristian Li of 京A have brewed up a batch just in time for the election. Read on to find out how you can sample it – or win a six-pack.
京A’s limited-edition Ale to the Chief is a near-replica of Obama’s White House Honey Ale recipe, with organic Xinjiang honey substituting for Michelle Obama's White House honey. They’ve bottled up some of the suds and would like to give one lucky reader a six-pack. For your chance to win, just answer this question: How many electoral votes does a US presidential candidate need to win the election? Send your answers to win@thebeijinger.com. Our polls will close at Wednesday, November 7 at noon.
If your thirst to sample the White House brew is such that you can't bear to leave it to chance, take heart: Ale to the Chief will also be on tap tomorrow morning at Cu Ju, which will be showing the election returns live. (For other venues where you can watch the election results as they pour in, check out our post here.)
