Ted Baker: Bringing London Lifestyle to Beijing
Designed to look like an English country garden, Ted Baker’s flagship store in mainland China is swathed in a briar patch of purple. Garden gnomes appear in the window displays and the very perceptive will spot birds and foxes in the thicket. One begins to feel almost like they might have followed a white rabbit to get here. And if the visual wonderland is not enough to tempt you through its doors, the Autumn/Winter collection surely will.
For the ladies, alluring tailored jackets and faux-fur coats (RMB 2,999) will tempt anyone who has not yet purchased a winter coat, while a classic V-backed woolen jumper (RMB 2,099) will appeal to anyone hoping to move quickly between the office and evening parties this Christmas.
Men looking to stay warm this winter might be interested in a wool coat (RMB 3,579) or a fleece-lined cardigan (RMB 1,429). The rose garden decor may give shoppers a taste of the English countryside, but Ted Baker promises to bring some London style to the streets of Beijing.
