Blue Skies Are Around the Corner (Fingers Crossed)

After days of suffocating pollution toward the end of the holiday that kept many of us indoors, it was welcoming to see it ever so slightly sunny yesterday in downtown Beijing. Meteorologists are predicting here that starting Thursday, October 10, we'll see blue skies until as late as next Monday because of a strong cold front that's heading this way from the northwest.

In other words, get your kites, coats, and sunglasses ready.

Beijing's AQI is expected to hover around 180 today according to bjair.info. For ways to spend what will hopefully turn out to be a sunny weekend, check out our Sports event section, our list of local parks, and subscribe to our 7 Days in Beijing Newsletter.
