EAT: A Bevy of Beijing Brunches
Two of the giants of Beijing's Brewing world, Great Leap and Slow Boat, have both revamped their brunch menus, featuring expanded menus of dishes made in partnership with local producers. The Kempinski's all-day dining restaurant Kranzler's has also upgraded their Sunday brunch buffet, adding a Champagne option. More on that on the blog this week. So much for a healthy start to January.
At Great Leap, they've come up with a simple menu of sandwiches, melts, omelettes and breakfast plates, most featuring a combination of eggs, hashbrowns, house-made sausage and bacon from Kitchen Collective. They've also got freshly pressed coffee from Rickshaw Roasters for RMB 20 (and of course all their tasty beers).
On Sundays between 11am-2.30pm, Slow Boat has teamed up with Andy's Craft Sausages for dishes like "The Pancake Tower" and "The Burrito Brunch", as well as a muesli bowl courtesy of Miss Muesli. Those on a mission can also upgrade to all-you-can-drink beer for RMB 120, good for the same period. Scan the menu below:
A couple of upcoming events to watch out for:
