Learn How to Fight Back at the Krav Maga Beijing Women’s Self-Defense Workshop
Looking for a new way to work out with the added benefit of staying safe? Starting this Saturday, May 9, Krav Maga Beijing is holding a series of self-defense classes for women and teenage girls (ages 15 and up).
Over four sessions taking place every Saturday in May, participants will learn how self-defense techniques such as getting out of choke holds, coping with low-light situations, and dealing with attackers who are bigger and stronger than you. They will also develop a self-defense mindset and learn how to avoid unsafe situations. The best part? Krav Maga is a self-defense system originally developed for the Israeli military. It focuses on real-life situations and emphasizes situational awareness, pre-emptive attacks or aggressive counter-attacks, and targeting the opponent’s weak points (e.g. groin, eyes, throat, and knees).
For the women’s self-defense workshop, the regular price for non-members is RMB 1,400 per person or RMB 2,400 per pair. Mention beijingkids when booking and you can join the workshop for RMB 1,150 per person or RMB 2,100 per pair.
In addition to the four sessions included in the workshop, all participants will get 10 hours’ worth of regular classes (valid May 1-30) so they can see what the regular sessions are like.
The women’s self-defense classes take place on May 9, May 16, May 23, and May 30 from 1-2.30pm. Slots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
