Win Tickets to Beijing Playhouse's Production of 'Table Manners' Oct 30
Coming off the success of The Compleat Works of William Shakespeare, Beijing Playhouse is back for a three-night stand with a production of British Table Manners, and we have five pairs of tickets to give away for opening night on Oct 30.
Table Manners, Alan Ayckbourn’s award-winning comedy, follows the intertwining lives of a group of siblings and their significant others during a weekend in the country. This sidesplitting farce explodes with lust, hysterics, and exasperation as three couples share a weekend in search of love, sex, and the meaning of marriage. A comic feast where chairs and food are scarce, but laughs are served aplenty. The play has been designated adults-only due to some of the aforementioned themes (no, not food).
The play will be staged at 77 Theater near Western Academy of Beijing (take Subway Line 14 to get there) Oct 30-Nov 1. Reserve your tickets for RMB 150 each by emailing broadway@beijingplayhouse.com. Please note that no tickets are sold at the door.
Beijing Playhouse presents English language performances in China's capital. It has presented such Broadway favorites as Guys and Dolls, Romeo and Juliet, A Christmas Carol, Love Letters and The Odd Couple. The Beijinger is a proud media sponsor of all Beijing Playhouse productions.
To win tickets to the Oct 30 performance, answer this question correctly: What is the name of the Beijing Playhouse Charity Readers Theater play set to be staged in December? You'll have to look on their website to find out. Send your answer to win@thebeijinger.com, along with your mobile number and address in Chinese, no later than 5pm on Tuesday (Oct 27). We'll pick five lucky winners from those who answer the question correctly and by the deadline. Decision of the Beijinger is final.
