Actress and director Zhao Wei was living it up last week in Beijing last week to launch of her very own wine brand. Turns out the actress and director bought a 400-year-old Bordeaux winery, Chateau Monlot, in 2011. The wines retail from RMB 168 to RMB 2,000 and you can buy them online at Tmall here. Zhao joins fellow Chinese celeb Yao Ming in putting some of their mega-fortunes into wineries.

Beijing's biggest international movie star Zhang Ziyi is 36, and either getting fat or is well into her first pregnancy, Hong Kong pop gossip site Jayne Stars reports. A pic on the site shows a pudgy-cheeked Zhang wearing some sort of form-hiding mumu.

One of our favorite celebs, the sultry hun xue’er Angelababy, is in the midst of an ugly defamation claim against a Beijing beauty clinic that claims her gorgeous looks are due to cosmetic surgery. Angelababy won an initial judgement in the spring, but the clinic appealed, forcing the Hong Kong based star to undergo an medical examination to look for tell-tale signs of surgery. She’s been in the news for more positive reasons as well, with her Shanghai nuptials last week to actor Huang Xiaoming widely watched on television.

Former 007 himself, Pierce Brosnan, was taking in the sights in the 798 Art District over the weekend. Brosnan’s in town making a commercial for BMW but took an hour out of his schedule to visit UCCA and the David Diao exhibition there.

Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook fame was back at Tsinghua University over the weekend, this time delivering a 20-minute lecture entirely in Chinese. We'd tell you all about it but we assume you've already seen his post on Facebook.

Another mega-entrepreneur also in Beijing this weekend was Elon Musk of Tesla and Space-X fame. Musk was in town to check out the Formula E race that took place at the Olympic Park. This is the second year in a row that the premier racing event for electric vehicles has started its season in Beijing. In his spare time, Musk took his children to learn all about cricket fighting with the China Culture Club.
