10 Corso Como Cafe Opens in Beijing SKP, Flaunts Beautiful Design

Hot on the heels of the opening of their Beijing multi-brand concept store this time last year, 10 Corso Como have now opened 10 Corso Como Cafe on the first floor of Beijing SKP (formerly Shinkong Place).

This part of town usually has more of a Costa and Starbucks kind of vibe, so we're happy to see more independent options. Certainly 10 Corso Como Cafe  as you would expect from an internationally-renowned design brand  has a lot more style than the other cafes in the area. The interior was designed by American designer and sculptor Kris Ruhs, who traveled to Jingdezhen to personally fire the hundreds of porcelain disks that decorate the walls of the cafe.

The menu here is pretty simple, just coffees (RMB 22-38), juices (RMB 42-58), and a changing selection of cakes. We enjoy a good, strong espresso (although we must confess we're not coffee experts) made with Italian roasted beans and some very good macarons, decorated with the cafe's signature "smiley face" motif.

Overall, a good spot to grab a coffee after a hard day's shopping in SKP.
