Join the Social Scene with the NiHao App
Is your Instagram profile filled with selfies taken in front of dragon sculptures and temple landscapes? Whether you’re in Shanghai or Changshou, Beijing or Fuzhou, events are great places to socialize, meet people, learn and above all have fun, so it’s a shame when we don’t get the memo about all of the cool events taking place nearby.
Maybe it’s because you haven’t checked that events website recently, or because you weren’t invited to the WeChat group, or because you were just in town for a quick visit and had no way to know what was on that weekend. Either way, that’s where NiHao comes in handy.
Our new ‘Events’ feature takes all the information about upcoming events in your city and puts them in one place. Sign up for events in one click or create your own and have it out in the public eye in a flash.
Using NiHao to find, join and create events is as easy as it sounds:
1. On the main page go to Listing. Your location will be set automatically but you can change it by clicking the drop-down menu in the top-left corner if you are pre-planning a trip elsewhere. Press Events to see the current events posted or + Add Events to create your own.
2. Scroll through and find events that pique your interest. You can also create a new event from this page by pressing the “+” button in the top-right hand corner.
3. Creating an event is easy. Just fill in all the information that everybody needs to know!
NiHao is a free app that connects expatriates and travelers in China to services and information in their city – it aims to make life easier for expats and travelers in China.
