Weekend in Nightlife: Daedelus, Alan Walker, Sven von Thülen, and More!

December is almost here, which means it's finally appropriate to play Christmas music (screw you 7-Eleven!). It also means that there's only one more month to do something you'll regret before you start having to make those tough life-altering decisions with a whole new batch of New Year's resolutions (well, at least until March). Luckily for you, Beijing is churning out events at full speed, and this weekend alone is packed with tons of famous DJs and artists for when you're not loitering at Christmas bazaars during the day.

Sven von Thülen
Sven von Thülen, a promoter, writer, producer, and DJ from Berlin has been an integral part of the growth of electronic music in his home town. His music is one that combines everything from brooding techno to jacked house and rugged breakbeat to uplifting disco. 10pm. Price TBA. Dada

Alan Walker
Norewegian producer and DJ Alan Walker, most known for his hit "Faded," which received platinum certification in 10 countries, also touches down on Friday. He is currently ranked number 55 on the Top 100 DJs list thanks to his EDM fade/progressive style. 10pm. RMB 200. Elements

BLEND: The Final Mix
After an extended hiatus, the three jocks of BLEND have decided to revive the party and share the DJ booth in Beijing for one last time. For one night only, they will hit the crowd with an all-night back-to-back-to-back DJ set combining everything from classic disco to afro house to soulful techno. Join them for the finale as they celebrate the past and bid farewell to co-organizer and good friend Max (aka Max At Large) who leaves Beijing to start a new adventure in Koh Samui, Thailand with his partner in love, Micku. 10pm. Blasterjaxx
This Dutch duo, ranked #19 in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs of 2015, comes to Sanlitun's Sir Teen. They've performed at festivals such as Tomorrowland and Ultra, and are known for their special brand of house/electro house-styled music.10pm. RMB 100. Antidote Presents Daedelus
Daedelus, is an inventor and creator of sonic labyrinths, combining sounds from an eclectic pallatte into an innovative genre of his own. His hip-hop beats with elegant tinklings attract those looking for a night to experience unique music. Support comes from Beijing-based musician and producer thruoutin. 10pm. Price TBA. Dada

8-Bit 3rd Anniversary Party
Take a break from the music/club scene and head over to 8-Bit, Gulou's primo videogame bar, for their third anniversary. The night will be packed with shots, beer pong, and karaoke, and of course, videogames i.e. the perfect way to relive the glory days of bunking off school. 6pm onwards. Free. 8-Bit

Mystic Future Jungle Tribe Vol. 1
On Fangjia Hutong, Mimi e Coco get ready for a night with Mystic Future Jungle Baes, billed as "a group of young and striving creatives who combine music with visual arts and bizarre wild imaginations that come in diversified forms." at this, their first party, expect downtempo, dreamy disco, house, and "every single G track you’ve heard/not heard of played in a whole new-look space of Mimi e Coco."

Club Paradise
Club Paradise will be heating up the dancefloor with their special tropical blend of disco, funk, and house from Ted Dancin’, Chloë, and Gary Boozy.
