Noob Fair Tempts Families and Foodies of All Ages, April 22-23
Now that spring's wonderfully warm weather is finally here, that can only mean one thing: Beijing's food festival season is about to kick off. Those of us who have been eagerly awaiting such colorful outdoor happenigns should head on over to Indigo on April 22-23 for this year's Noob Fair.
Eighty vendors will be doling out tasty eats and handicrafts at the event. The vendors signed up to take part include pizza from Tube Station, pastries from Croissant Village, Italian fare from Opera Bombana, French dishes from FLO, Thai food, matcha desserts, and much more. There will also be a number of activities taking place throughout the day like a ukulele class, a parents-kids handcrafts class, and a cooking class for attendees that want to try their hand at making yogurt.
On top of that, attendees will be treated to performances like a short concert by international violinist Siqing Lu, who has made numerous appearances over the years on CCTV's Spring Festival gala, along with other Chinese celebrities like Huang Lei (黄磊) of Where Are We Going, Dad? (爸爸去哪, Bàba qù nǎ?) fame (pictured at top) and Taiwanese actor and comedian Liqun Li (李立群).
Some of the events' proceeds will also go to the Smile Angel Foundation (a foundation that raises funds for children with cleft palates) and the ecological organization WWF. It should be a fun day for foodies and laowai who are curious about Chinese celebrities like Huáng Lĕi.
The Noob Fair will be held April 22-23 at the Indigo open piazza, (South of Jiangtai Road and east of Jiuxianqiao Road, Chaoyang District). Tickets are RMB 80. For more information, check the event's WeChat (ID: huangxiaochu921).
