Ye Cannae Dae Nuhin Wrang by Going to This Year's St. Andrew’s Charity Ball, Nov 25

Ladies and gentlemen, it's time once again to fish out your kilts, dust off your ghillies, don your earasaids, shake out your sporrans, and (for the men in particular) lose the underwear, because this year's St. Andrew's Charity Ball is nearly here!

In celebration of all things that are Scottish and a good craic, this year's ball takes place at the China World Mall on Nov 25, and will include a Champagne cocktail reception, five-course dinner, free-flow drinks, live music from Edinburgh's Wullie Fraser Ceilidh Band, a charity raffle (top prize: British Airways business class return tickets to Scotland, of course!), midnight supper, and unmatched revelry to get you pure done in and off yer heads.

If you're feeling a little bit out of shape, the organizers have put together some dance classes to get you limbered up for the big event. There's still one last chance on Nov 23 at British School of Beijing Sanlitun to put you in good stead to dance till yer oot yer face come the big day.

Pre-dinner drinks start at 6.30pm at the China World Hotel. Tickets for the ball cost RMB 1,100 per person or RMB 10,000 for a table of 10. Contact beijingcaledoniansociety@gmail.com; or WeChat: oliverbarron, for more information and bookings. Men are advised to wear a kilt, black tie, and tartan, whereas women should bring a pair of flats for dancing.
