Prajnasonic Anniversary
Beijing independent electronic music label Prajnasonic celebrate their third year in the mix with this showcase of their finest talent at Dada. HWA (aka Elvis.T), Shao (aka Dead J), Punx, Fencha, Panda, and Far Infinity (pictured in the lead image above) will all be on hand to keep revelers dancing till the sun comes up. 10pm. Price TBA. Antidote Presents B. Bravo and Caliph-8: Live and DJ Sets
California DJ Bravo draws on an eclectic array of influences that span jazz, classic hip-hop, and funk. The promoters describe him as "a DJ and captivating live performer with synths, vocoder, and talkbox." Bravo has shared the stage with esteemed artists like Erykah Badu, Chromeo, Dam-Funk, and Flying Lotus. Saturday's lineup is rounded out by Filipino DJ Caliph8 who is arguably even bolder and more experimental than Bravo, delving into hip-hop, experimental, folk, no wave, sound art, soul, rare grooves, exotica, krautrock, jazz, psychedelia, and much more to create "a hybrid permutation of a gut-wrenching-disorientating aural blast, leaving the audience dumbfounded or mind expanded similar to a psychedelic excursion." 10pm. Giorgio Gigli
Konekt Asia bring the Italian deep house master Giorgio Gigli to China for the first time. Expect a night of hypnotic techno that runs long into the night with heavy support from Elvis.T, Weng Weng, and Jackson Lee. 11pm. RMB 80. Lantern
Eclectic Electric: Saint Party's Night
If you can't imagine doing a traditional jig to Celtic-inflected music, then prepare to have your mind blown. DJ Half/N/Half celebrates her Irish half this St. Paddy's Day with a genre-spanning mix of danceable electronic music as well as a jig or two to get you in the Irish mood.
