Mass(ive) Party: Celebrate Easter This Sunday With These Beijing Church Events
As Easter draws near, Apr 1 this year, we've listed some of the options for Easter mass in the capital for those Christian expats (or otherwise) who may be wondering where best to celebrate on that holy day. For all of this year's Easter events, click here.
St. Joseph's Wangfujing Church (Dongtang Cathedral)
St. Joseph's Wangfujing Church (pictured above) will hold Catholic services throughout the weekend, covering Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil on Saturday and Easter Sunday.
Congregation of the Good Shepherd (COGS)
Situated at the capital mansions near Liangmaqiao, the Congregation of the Good Shepherd's service will be held on Easter Sunday and will feature a visiting choir from Stockholm. Following mass, stick around for a buffet lunch priced at RMB 200 for adults, RMB 100 for vegetarians, students, NGOs, and RMB 60 for kids over 5 (kids under 5 can enjoy it for free). Beijing Baptist Church (BBC)
BBC will hold a special Easter Sunday service at its regular 10am Sunday service slot at the CTS hotel near Sanyuanqiao.
Beijing International Christian Fellowship (BICF) In Liangmaqiao's 21st Century Hotel
This Easter the non-denominational BICF will have gatherings on Good Friday (Mar 30) and Easter Day (Apr 1) at their 21st Century campus, near Solana.
Beijing International Christian Fellowship (BICF) In Wudaokou
The west end location for BICF will host Easter services throughout the day.
