Pretty Cold
This crew of Chinese DJs and visual artists are devotees to coldwave, minimal synth, and post-punk. Together, they'll shroud this party in a unique soundtrack of dissonant and dark tracks as well as visual works to complement their complex grooves. Price TBD. 10pm. Dada
 

Friday, Aug 17

Zhiqi All Night Long
DJ Zhiqi goes solo and digs deep this Friday for a night of rarities that he collected during a recent trip to the Mecca of dance music, Berlin. Expect gems that span techno, deep house, and more. Price TBD. 10.30pm. Zhao Dai

Dada Sixth Year Anniversary Party
How time flies! Just over half a decade ago Dada came on the Beijing scene, and dance music has arguably never been the same in the capital. That's of course because the Gulou club has endeavored to host boundary-pushing DJs that strive for more than to merely make you dance. DJs Heatwolves and Watermelon will be on hand to do just that, bringing Dada's anniversary crowd delicious beats till sunrise on Saturday. Price TBD. 10pm. Dada

La Femme Night
Not your typical ladies night, One Third has recruited an all-female roster of talented DJs including the likes of Asuka, Alyshia, Caka, Liz, Pink, Nancy Maan, Sherry, UNA, and Uki. RMB 120 (advance). 9pm. One Third

Get Connected Deep Night
The Get Connected party series is referred to by the Lantern as a "deep night" where DJs dig deep into the proverbial crate to syncopate the crowd and have them humming for more. DJs Zhang Jie, Kornel Szennovitz, Huang Weiwei, Juliana Lima, and Jackson Lee helm the turntables in the bar room, while Lantern regulars like Diva Li and Weng Weng will be spinning away in the main room. Saturday, Aug 18

10 Years of ECI Korea with Unjin
Korea's first minimal/techno label celebrates a decade of envelope-pushing partying with a tour that stops by Beijing's Zhao Dai. Founder and DJ Unjin will hit the decks with his unique take on the genre that paved, and is paving, the way for a new generation of Korean talent. Price TBD. 10.30pm. Zhao Dai

Psyfidelity
Psychedelic trance fans are in for a treat this Saturday with a full night dedicated to the genre courtesy of DJs Sixears (of Goa Productions), Anan, and ProLens, among others. There'll also be a VJ on hand to keep things suitably trippy. RMB 70. 10pm. Dada

Kadryne
Xinjiang-born, Xi'an-based Chinese DJ Kadryne, founder of the  Powerstation label, hits up Infrarouge to spin her eclectic take on house and techno that she honed in Singapore and Thailand before more recently touring around China's biggest cities. RMB 50. 10pm. InfraRouge

Lantern Club Night and Wasabi Sound
Lantern's room 1 plays host to Jackson Lee, Eva Xu (pictured above), and Weng Weng this Saturday night, making for a "who's who" of top-notch Lantern regulars that should keep frequent attendees dancing deep into the night. Room 2, meanwhile, will play host to Eric Lee, 2MM, AKA Sean C, Shen Yue, and Ludo V. RMB 50. 10.30pm. Lantern
