Unless you enjoy sweating it out in 46-degree heat, then there’s no denying that this summer in Beijing has been a struggle. However, with the temperature finally returning to normal (or at least bearable), there’s no longer any excuse to hibernate inside your aircon. Instead, head to the expansive beer garden at Legend Beer’s flagship Gongti location to down a few of their on-site brewed beers without the fear of sweating through your shirt.

Since it first opened in June 2016, Legend Beer has won plenty of fans thanks to its sprawling 1,500-square-meter space (including the aforementioned beer garden), cozy wood and brass decor, a wide selection of in-house brewed craft beers, and frequent live sports events screenings. Now, with an updated food menu (including a tasty new burger and other American-inspired bar food) and a new program of food and drink specials, they look ready to cement their position as one of Beijing's favorite venues this fall.

Daily Food Specials
Grab a great deal on a different dish every night from Sunday to Thursday, 5-9.30pm for the frankly astonishingly low price of RMB 18. Sample their new-and-improved burger on Monday nights or grab a Tex Mex-style quesadilla on Thursdays – perfect with a pint. Look for Legend to start opening during the day for food and drinks service in the near future.

Thursday night is Ladies Night
Every Thursday night from 8pm-2am, ladies enjoy a selection of 15 different cocktails absolutely free. No matter what your tipple, you'll be able to find something that suits you on the drinks menu, which includes everything from classics like Screwdriver and Cuba Libre to sweet creations like Bailey's Milk or Snow Ball.

Free-flow craft beer and soft drinks
Legend a brewpub at heart and if you want to sample their selection of house-brewed beers then this is a great way to do it. Spend a minimum of RMB 100 per head on full-price food and drink and for just RMB 68 extra you can enjoy a selection of free-flow craft beer (plus soft drinks so you can pace yourself). This deal is available between 5-9pm.

Daily happy hour
Legend may be a brewpub but that doesn't mean you have to drink beer. Every day from 8pm-midnight, mixed drinks such as gin and tonic and whiskey and coke are just RMB 10.

Legend Beer also has two other locations in Dongzhimen and Wangjing, the former being a relatively small space with just bar seating and the latter of which a new location that will focus on food in the future.
