Boiler Room
After a two year hiatus, the Boiler Room is back in Beijing! Lantern is going to boil over on Tuesday night, with an impressive roster that includes New York up-and-comer Volvox, seasoned Macedonian vet Tijana, and beloved domestic acts like L+R Wang Lu alongside guzheng player Yu Miao, Chengdu erhu-wielding DJ Temple Rat, resident Zhao Dai DJ (and co-founder) Zhiqi, and Shanghai’s DJ Doggy (AKA Mingyu Sheh). Don't miss this one. RMB 100. 10.30pm. Coucou Chloe & Shygirl & Know V.A.
Aside from her eclectic talents, French DJ, producer, and vocalist Coucou Chloe is also known for being a resident DJ at NTS Radio. In 2016 she released her debut EP Halo, and has since hit stratospheric heights, including having her track “Doom” featured on the soundtrack for Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma show at New York Fashion Week this past September. In June she dropped her new EP Erika Jane on burgeoning record label NUXXE, which is also home to her frequent collaborator Shygirl who will accompany Chloe at Dada. Franck Roger
Having begun his DJing career in 1997, France's Franck Roger broke through in 2004 with his global dance hit "No More Believe."  and has gained a reputation for representing only the very best in house music, in a variety of forms. From vocal hits like 'After All' with Mandel Turner to deep, tribal cuts such as 'Egotrippin. RMB 100 at the door. 10pm. Aurora 

Voiski
French DJ and producer Voiski's music is precise, minimalistic and inspired by his background in art school. Fann says this leads him to create "spiraling techno that makes the brain and body lose control on the dancefloor." Ticket price: TBD. 10pm. Zhao Dai

Wednesday, May 1

One Group Music Live II
Some of the capital's brightest hip-hop up-and-comers will step up to the mike at Mao Livehouse on Friday. The lineup includes R&B artist Raymond, veteran MC AG Cog, producer Aaron, and freestyle star Das Z. RMB 150 presale, RMB 180 at the door. 10pm. Mao Livehouse Wukesong.


Thursday, May 2

Skrillex
It’ll be bang(arang)ing at Sir Teen on Thursday, May 2nd, when Skrillex takes over the turntables. The American singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, producer and DJ got his start with the band From First to Last before turning to EDM and dubstep. He's now considered one of EDM's biggest crossover acts thanks to hits like "Bangarang" and "Would You Ever," not to mention collaborations with fellow big names like Diplo, Poo Bear, and even Justin Bieber. MFE Winner’s Debut: Robert Traista & Roman
Aurora ends their up-and-comer MFE series, crowning Russian DJ Roman the winner. His melodic techno and progressive house music helped him take the title, so come celebrate with him at Aurora along with other DJs like Hungry's Roberto Traista. Free entry. 10pm Aurora 

Neel
Ambient and techno producer Neel has built up a considerable fanbase as both a solo act and in his long-running duo with Donato Dizzy, called Voices From the Lake. Insiders know him as "a true craftsman" who is "known for his immersive AV shows and captivating DJ sets and solo shows." RMB 50 presale, RMB 80 at the door. 10.30pm. Lantern


Friday, May 3

Bb Deng [Kuukou Records-Black Kat-Fehler Musik]
BB Deng is a trailblazer, being the first Chinese female DJ to join the world biggest Electronic event ADE in Amsterdam. On top of that, she's also been invited to play at Berlin's hugely popular "Zug Der Liebe" parade. Welcome this global rising star back to the Far East at Lantern, where you'll also see Nigls and Weng Weng hit the decks in the main room, as well as other local favorites like Jackson Lee, Watermellon, Eva Xu and Hamoudeh in the bar room. Saturday, May 4

A. Brehme
Hailing from Brussels, DJ and producer A. Brehme is known for creating intense techno that is also ambient, psychedelic and minimalist. A fixture of the Technoon parties back in the Belgian capital, A. Brehme is also gaining notoriety at various clubs around the world.
