Singer Kris Wu's studio sues rumor monger
On Jun 2, a post claiming that former EXO member and singer Kris Wu (pictured above) had emotionally abused his "girlfriend" went viral on Weibo. The post, sent out by a supposed friend of this mysterious, heretofore unknown girlfriend, contains several WeChat screenshots between the girl and Wu. According to the source, her friend has been dating Wu since January and for no reason, Wu suddenly disappeared in April, which led to the depression of her friend for a long time.
Soon after the post spread all over social media, another ex-girlfriend of Wu posted a new Weibo, saying “He (Kris Wu) is a simple big boy who’s eager for love. There’s no right or wrong in a relationship. I wish everyone all the best.”
Many supposed that this would be the end of the drama. On the contrary, however, a third "girlfriend" popped up and sent out a post, and then came the fourth… These two turned out to be nothing more clickbait, but they still managed to cause confusion and no shortage of trouble for Wu's reputation all within a single day.
On June 3, the studio of Kris Wu posted a statement, saying that they have entrusted a law firm to sue the relevant users to the court for defamation. At present, the cases are pending review.
