**"Rebecca"**: Austrian Musical to Premiere in China in Beijing

Following the great success of the musical *Elisabeth* in China, the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien (VBW) and the Danish Lion Entertainment Company are presenting the next musical by the duo Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay in Beijing.

The premiere of *Rebecca* will take place on November 20, 2024, at 7:30 PM at the Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center, with support from the Austrian Cultural Forum Beijing.

*Rebecca* is based on the world-famous novel by Daphne du Maurier. Alfred Hitchcock's film adaptation was nominated for eleven Oscars, and just recently, the story was remade by Netflix. The romantic tale between the young companion "I" and the wealthy Maxim de Winter unfolds at the fictional estate of Manderley and gradually develops into a gripping thriller filled with intrigue and dark secrets.

*Rebecca* is considered one of the most successful original productions of Vereinigte Bühnen Wien and has already been performed in twelve countries.

继音乐剧《伊丽莎白》在上海和中国取得巨大成功后，维也纳联合剧院（VBW）与丹麦狮子娱乐公司再次携手，将由迈克尔·昆策和西尔维斯特·李维这对黄金搭档创作的又一部精彩音乐剧《蝴蝶梦》带到了北京。

音乐剧《蝴蝶梦》改编自达芙妮·杜穆里埃的同名小说，讲述了一名年轻女子—— 唯一没有名字的女主“我”，嫁给了神秘的寡夫马克西姆·德温特后，搬到曼德雷山庄，并逐渐揭开他已故妻子瑞贝卡的真实面貌和死亡真相的悬疑故事。我最爱的部分当然是《蝴蝶梦》的音乐！毫不夸张地说，在我心里《蝴蝶梦》没有一首歌是不好听不抓耳的。而印象最深刻和关键的唱段当属出现四次之多的同名曲Rebecca，皆为丹弗斯夫人的唱段，每次都有不同的情感和剧情背景。

丹弗斯夫人在瑞贝卡的海边卧室面对”我”深情地演唱Rebecca，她歌颂瑞贝卡的美丽、魅力和完美无瑕的形象，充满怀旧和仰慕之情，昭示瑞贝卡在曼德雷庄园中留下的巨大影响。

“我“逐渐感受到瑞贝卡无处不在的影响，在变装舞会上丹弗斯夫人以此来加深“我”的不安全感和不自信，让她感到自己永远无法替代瑞贝卡，音乐和情绪更加阴郁。

在“我”逐渐揭开瑞贝卡真实面貌的时候，丹弗斯在徐徐海风中唱响的Rebecca Reprise带有一种揭露和解构的意味，开始透露出瑞贝卡并不像她的光辉形象那样完美无瑕，她的虚伪和生活中的黑暗面渐渐浮出水面。女主“我“在尾段会加入丹弗斯夫人和声，呐喊瑞贝卡已经走了消失的事实但丹弗斯仍然陷入病态地沉浸在相信前主人会回来的迷雾里。

最后一次Rebecca响起时，真相已经完全暴露：瑞贝卡不仅背叛了马克西姆，还过着双重生活。曼德雷山庄对瑞贝卡阴影最终得以剥离，丹弗斯夫人的歌声和演绎上都满溢着解脱和释放，里面隐约会渗透着她最终做出的那个决绝的决定。

此番参与三城巡演的丹弗斯夫人Annemieke van Dam是我彼时看的《蝴蝶梦》驻演版主卡，她的丹弗斯夫人美丽优雅而哀伤，在《她永不屈服》（SIE ERGIBT SICH NICHT）（丹弗斯夫人 Mrs. Danvers演唱）和末次Rebecca时都情到浓时潸然泪下，泪痕清晰可见，而面对“我”时也不乏阴气森森的鬼魅凶相，双面诠释得很到位。

体验过伦敦外西区的英文版《蝴蝶梦》，私以为还是德语原版的歌词更硬核对味些，不会在翻译成其他语种之间丧失原有的表达。我在维也纳观演的两场卡司也不尽相同，只有“我”的演员没有变化。主演卡司之间唱演风格差别不小，但不变的是这部偏群像剧的《蝴蝶梦》内核仍是”我“作为阴霾下接管曼德雷山庄的年轻女性的一路成长强大，从孩子气十足到蜕变成自信成熟女性的层次感在剧里是最重要的呈现点。而男女主之间对彼此更深入了解的真心和建立信任的全过程也值得品味。尾声“我”轻吟的《我又梦到了曼德雷—重复》（Ich hab geträumt von Manderley Reprise）亦再次点题：“所有欲望罪恶与黑暗，最后皆被爱拯救。在险境中找到力量，在困难时充满希望，曼德雷再入我梦，唯有爱将我们拯救......”是呀，同心协力便可抵挡一切危机。

Vocalist & Guitar: Table, Drummer: Long Zeqiong, Born in Beijing in 2021, "Town-Pop" band, this is a style that belongs to melonboii at present, is a kind of overload guitar, beating bassline and high density drums intertwined with the electronic tone of Rock and Roll, is not so westernized City-Pop. As China's urban development enters an important period of urban renewal, the two Generation Z art students begin to use notes to outline the reality and dream between the calligraphy building and the commercial complex. Melonboii's music is like a 360-degree panoramic camera in the middle of downtown intersection, recording the rapid development of the city and the people in it.
