Nestled between bridal stores and loud hair salons, this little gem on Dongsi Nandajie offers handmade ethnic-minority style clothing with a contemporary twist. The boutique’s stock is limited, a product of the degree of craftsmanship devoted to each item. Highlights include the light cotton qipao dresses (RMB 150-180), with hand-painted wispy mountain scenery in acrylics, which look great with a pair of jeans. Finely painted cotton shirts (RMB 498) are also available, as well as vividly embroidered Miao minority-style jackets (RMB 428-598). Accessories such as handkerchiefs and scarves are also available in a range of distinctive fabrics and designs.
