Beijing Postcards Historical Run is a 10-kilometer run following historical themes. Led by historian, the course would take you to explore different parts of Beijing while learning the historical backgrounds as the run stops. Every month we have a new theme.
On this Run we will trace industrial Beijing: from Japanese built constructions to Soviet Union inspired communal apartment blocks - The course will take you by faded Mao slogans and abandoned factory halls. Join us to commemorate the time when chimneys were reaching for the sky from every corner of the City!
This is a historical run but not a race against time. We will finish the route in two hours with a few stops along the way to learn about the historical background of the places we pass. To participate, you need to be able to run at a pace of 9km/hour.
All profit from the Run will be donated to an NGO helping children with cerebral palsy in western China.
