EAT: Deals at Red Lobster, Half-Price Paella and Rice at Migas Mercado
EAT: Your bite-sized guide to the best eats to be had in Beijing this week.
Five days, five deals, plus new set lunch at Red Lobster
If you haven't tried American chain Red Lobster since it set up shop in Taikoo Li, then now's your chance, because they have a bunch of new winter deals, as well as a new set lunch menu. From Sunday through Thursday, enjoy deals like unlimited shrimp on Monday nights for RMB 128 per person or a Tuesday date night for two priced at RMB 258 that includes a steamed lobster tail, filet of salmon, and more. The set lunch menu allows you to choose from a wide selection of mains, including lobster rice bowls, baked lobster tail with coconut rice or grilled salmon filet with shrimp, with a soup or salad, lemon tea, and their signature Cheddar Bay biscuits included in the price.
Half-price paella at Migas Mercado
Treat yourself on weekday lunchtimes with Migas Mercado's half-price special on their rice-based dishes. Whether you want to share a big paella with friends, sample their creative rice dishes such as mushroom and beef rice or squid ink rice with seafood, or just enjoy as tapas-sized paella to yourself, expect 50 percent off your bill. The deal is available from Monday to Friday, 11.30am-2.30pm.
Brotzeit Spring Festival specials
Celebrate a German-style Spring Festival at Brotzeit with a limited-edition selection of festive dishes. Unsurprisingly for a German restaurant, the menu is meat-heavy, featuring dishes like roast chicken supreme, lamb chops, and bacon and onion pie. We've got our eye on the Brotzeit prosperity platter, a steal at RMB 688 for six to eight people, which includes German favorites like sausages and roast pork knuckle. Add RMB 200 and receive six pints of German draft beer. The menu is available until Feb 17, so you've got plenty of time to sample it if you happen to be away for the holiday.
Alternatively, eat yourself stupid with these special Spring Festival dinners.
