I normally only write negative reviews, but I must say that my experience at this Clinic over the weekend has inspired me to do something on the more positive note.
I have been having chronic pain in my back and my neck for awhile now, and I finally decided to get it checked out. I do not have health insurance (except that provided by the sate under the social insurance scheme which only covers Chinese hospitals)and personally did not want to get manhandled after waiting 2 hours to register and seen by a doctor.
I live in the Shuangjing area and didn't want to travel too far and was happy to find out that we have our own international clinic though the name gave me pause for a few minutes. Luckily its only a name.
The clinic itself is clean and well decorated (albeit a little hidden unless you know where it is). The front desk staff was efficient and friendly with excellent English (I am guessing they are Fillipino but I have no evidence of that). The doctor saw me with very little waiting. The consultation was thorough, asked me lots of questions, made recommendations and suggestions. The doctor himself was American Chinese (Californian accent), nice guy, seemed professional and knew what he was doing.
Finally I went to settle up the accounts, though it was pretty much what I thought. The price was acceptable, no way near what I was quoted by BJU and SOS (don;t bother with those two unless your insurance covers the whole cost), but still not as cheap as a Chinese hospital which is understandable.
All in all it was a good experience and I would definitely recommend it for both people with and without insurance for different reasons.
