Review of Gung Ho! Pizza
5

First time at Gung Ho as I was initially repelled by their pink uniforms and their practice of putting tofu on pizza. I associated the place with pretentious hippies. I was wrong.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and take-out service.

Disgustingly polite, helpful staff. Pizza on wheat crust is really good. Wings were a bit soggy but tasted great. Report on the salad being good though I didn't partake because it contained tuna.

We had to leave in a hurry so left an unfinished hot drink and took the food to go, they were polite enough to include a new drink with the takeaway order.

The place is clean, has different spices on the table, and the wings come with dipping sauce. They have several different flavours of FRICKIN' DIPPING SAUCE.

Sure it's more expensive but worth it. I've never had the delivery service but that take-out service was ace.

Hard to believe some of the poor reviews below considering what I experienced.

All the employees yell everytime someone leaves on delivery. That could annoy people I guess but it's not much of a sitdown restaurant anyway.

An honest 5 stars for this late lunch.

Hey Hero!

Cheers for the awesome post!

I had to mop coffee off my screen after reading the first paragraph though. As a pretentious hippie, I'm going to assume you meant pretentious hip-STER, as that's what we're calling ourselves these days. And plus, monitor coffee is the best.

Seriously though! Thanks for taking the time to post! Anytime you're around drop us a line. We're based at the Lido HQ but we're always making the rounds. John, Jade and myself would love to meet you.
