This place is very authentically Chinese/Sichuanese. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the hotel run by the Chongqing government. It's typically fake-fancy Chinese decor.
The menu is pretty extensive, with of course plenty of hot dishes. We had spicy sliced potatoes with peppers, lotus root, rabbit, chicken cooked in a bed of little red peppers and dan dan mian. The food was definitely some of the spiciest I've had in Beijing (so beware ye of weak stomachs). Along with beer, our total for 3 came to around 200 RMB.
The manager of the hotel was very courteous to us, and tried to tell us to come back and stay if we ever needed a hotel, probably because we were there rather late and were one of only two tables in the restaurant, and of course drew more attention for being waiguoren.
Would go there again if I were taking an out-of-towner looking to taste the "real" Sichuanese experience.
