Get Tipsy with Josh Fontaine and Carina Tsou of Paris' Candelaria at Atmosphere, Nov 3-7
Beijing’s most gaofushuai luxury bar, Atmosphere at China World Summit Wing, continues its monthly cocktail series, bringing in mixologists from around the world to show off their skills.
For five nights this week (Nov 3-7), they will have on the premises Josh Fontaine and Carina Tsou from the award winning Candelaria. Known as an underground favorite in Paris, Candelaria has garnered international recognition for its exceptional drinks and service since the bar started operations in 2011, and has since been included in the “World’s 50 Best Bars” list for the past four years. These visiting mixologists will serve up eight original cocktails for a conceptual experience called “A French Reunion in Beijing.”
First up on their specialty list of cocktails is Rhum à la Mer, a bittersweet Campari-based creation mixed with Gosling’s Black Seal Rum, pineapple syrup, falernum, Fernet-Branca, and absinthe.
Next is the earthy aromatic flavor of the Dolce Vita. A delightful combination of barrel-aged Citadelle Gin Réserve infused with fragrant olive oil, citrusy Cocchi Americano, and La Quintinye Vermouth.
Also, try their tequila-based Garden Fizz with a deep and piney herb fragrance. The bold flavors of the distilled agave are mixed with sharp galangal-kaffir syrup and balanced with fresh lime juice, ginger beer, and then topped with creamy pasteurized egg white.
