Have you ever wondered what it would be like to eat in a place where people aren't spitting on the floor, where waiters/waitresses aren't repeating "mashang.. mashang", where guests don't have to yell "fuwuyuan" at the top of their lungs just to get a glass of water?
Well... stop wondering. First class service has finally arrived in Beijing.
The staff at this place are falling over hand and foot to give you everything possible. Your bread plate will never be empty. Your glass will never be empty. You will never lack napkins to wipe your mouth or hands.
But more importantly, your taste buds will be tingling with joy at finally being able to sample something from a great chef in Beijing.
The dinner menu is pricy as hell, so I'd recommend you to go for the business lunch to get a full sampler of their tasty food. yeah... 165rmb might be expensive. yeah the 10-15% service charge may be a whollop... but it's worth it. all of their entrees are great. i was a bit trepiditious eating the steak tartar in china, but not any more. the flavour was so wonderful, and the poached quails eggyolk on the top was just devine. in terms of mains... wow... the lamb with couscous was sensational. so juicy and spicy at the same time. you must try the chocolate tarts with citrus sorbet! wow... to die for. the poached pears with 5-spice sorbet is mouth watering as well..
Overall... nothing but praise for this place. excellent service, excellent food. prices are expensive, but as i said... worth it.
there is parking outside for those who need it, and there is baby chairs for families who need it too. the manager and staff are very considerate to families.
so... if you are looking for a way to kick start the economy... this is the place to spend it..
