Pizza Plus Blows Life Into Lido with New Opening, Hands Out Free Pizza Samples Mar 4-6

Pizza Plus, a high-scorer throughout our many Pizza Cup events, is opening a new location on Jiangtai Lu. Their hope to breathe additional dough-clad life into the Lido area means that they'll be handing out free samples of pizza and salad during the first three days of their opening, giving everyone an excuse to get out there.

In the 2015 Pizza Cup, the venue was eliminated in the round of 16 by the indefatigable Gung Ho. Had they not faced Gung Ho, who knows what could've happened – their pizza is pretty darn good.

World Champion chef Farizio Montori, who won the World Pizza Games in 2011 with his forest pizza (pictured above), featuring mushroom, sausage, walnut, and truffle cream, is the restaurants' pride and joy. On top of that, their pizza's main ingredients are all imported from Italy.

The new Lido branch will also have a selection of traditional Italian pastas, including pasta alla Bolognese (RMB 25), carbonara (RMB 29), or creamy salmon (RMB 35).

Between March 4 and 6, 11am-10pm, head to 14 Jiangtai Lu, Zhaowei Commercial Building South Gate, Chaoyang District for your free handouts. Below is a little map if you're unsure as to where that is. It looks like the best way to get there is to take the subway to Jiangtai Lu, get off at Exit A, and walk east.
