Review of Haidilao Hot Pot
Agree with other reviewers, Haidilao is the best of Beijing's more "modern" hot pot restaurants. If you don't like the dirt and noise of Gui Jie, this is the place to come. Alright, so it's still noisy. The hot pot is good, all you can wish to find is here, but Haidilao stands out for the level of service offered. It's miles ahead of the average local restaurant, and the little elements they throw in to soothe the inevitable wait for a table are all thoughtful touches. Doesn't have the atmosphere of places like Kongliang and Jingui Xiaoshancheng, but food and service make it a winner.
