Stumbled across this spot while running and errand -- it's in the basement of the impossible-to-navigate Soho Shangdu (I've never found the same shop twice without getting lost in this frustrating architect's wet dream/consumer's nightmare). Anyhow, it's a nice little intimate place with bright furnishings and a smattering of outdoor seating in an area shaded from the hot sun, which makes it a perfect fair-weather lunch spot. Best yet, it's lunch specials are too cheap to be true (21-25) -- usually consisting of a small curry, salad, soup, bread and rice. Menu items are a bit steeper, but I was filled by my set plus an order of papadum (RMB 10), so I didn't try any of the more expensive stuff. Prompt, personal service also adds to the appeal.
