A New Year's Shower

Happy New Year! And welcome back to work …

For those of you who were at Block 8 on New Year’s Eve, the management has released this statement concerning the sprinkler system malfunction that occurred at midnight after their big pyrotechnics show:

“Block 8 would like to say sorry to everyone who was affected by the rain at midnight on New Years Eve. In an effort to create a dazzling fireworks display we experienced unforeseen technical issues. We apologize for any contention caused and will be contacting customers directly and offering reimbursement.

Block 8 and the event organizer G2 take full responsibility for the incident. Our technician used heat-producing pyrotechnics triggering the sprinkler system over the DJ booth.

We look forward to 2008 and serving our customers the best way possible, and we want to thank everyone for coming out and helping us have an unforgettable start to the New Year … We will be throwing a celebration to try to make up for New Years Eve although we know the moment of midnight is irreplaceable. Please stay tuned for details and umbrellas will be distributed at the door this time.
