Bold and Bountiful - Argana open on Xingfucun Zhonglu

Xingfucun Zhonglu is fast becoming foodie heaven with its trendy eateries, cafes and delis, and now a Moroccan restaurant, Argana.

The owner is passionate about the cuisine of his homeland, which shows in his authentically Moroccan cuisine. Servings are bold and bountiful, with the leafy starter salads recommended. The hearty tajines (a stewed dish made in glazed earthenware) include the Moorish lamb tajine (RMB 88) with almonds, prunes and caramelized onions, making it sweet and delightful, and the exquisitely prepared chicken tajine (RMB 76).

You’ll also find rustic national dishes like lemon couscous (RMB 18), Pastilla pigeon pie (RMB 126) and, for afterwards, hand made pastries (RMB 36) and sweet Moroccan mint tea.

Downstairs, the cozy Escobar stocks a huge range of exceptional, yet affordable Spanish wines.
