Tun has added a new terrace in time for summer. Get in the party mood and go celebrate Tun's second birthday on Saturday night (June 5). Free snacks 5-8pm and rotating free drinks every hour.
Also taking advantage of the warmer weather, Scarlett in Hotel G is planning to add a terrace in the coming weeks too - more on that later.
Relatively unknown Sanlitun terrace Zhongyu Hanging Garden has reopened as Miss Saigon - the terrace still gets positive marks for its view and spacious setting, but we hear it's lost something in terms of style - reports from friends suggest a Gongti West Gate-style cheese-fest.
Beijing Boyce reports there appears to be a new captain aboard The Boat. Yes, word has it that the ship has been sold and renovations are underway. See Boyce's post here for more.
Former Blue Frog manager Lee Mitchell has returned from a brief sojourn to the south of China and has joined forces with Glenn Phelan and Shane O'Neill on the new Stumble Inn. Mitchell will be on board when they open their new bar in Sanlitun Village in late June.

Hip-hop fans are in danger of being spoiled over the next month. With former Gang Starr producer DJ Premier in town for a set at Yugong Yishan on June 24 - look out for our interview with Primo in the June issue of the Beijinger and coming up on the blog next week - Yugong Yishan have also announced that former Jurassic 5 producer and decksmith DJ Nu-Mark will be behind the decks on July 17.
In the mood for a dance? A Scottish country one, to be precise? The next Renegade Ceilidh will be on June 18 at Contempio Temple Bar in Zhangwang Hutong - directly opposite Bed Bar. The organizers tell us the venue now boasts a pimped-up sound system and a crack team of bartenders.
