Midweek Live Music Roundup: Dying Fetus, Exodus, GBOB
I feel like I’m still recovering from last weekend, and the next is already coming again. Anyway, when you have a few free days ahead of you, I suggest you start with music. For those of you who are too lazy to go out to the FunHill Music Festival, my suggestion is to go heavy with the metal heads. Painkiller Magazine is having their 10th birthday parties – literally 2 parties – at MAO Livehouse. Dying Fetus and Exodus are here to make sure that you will have sour necks on the “real weekend.”
The chief editor of Painkiller Magazine happens to be one of the judges in the Global Battle of the Bands which will have its Beijing Final on Sunday at Yugong Yishan. It turned out only two out of four planned heats happened in the past two weeks – one got canceled and one got extended to this Sunday before the Final. The battle will start at 7.30pm and two bands will be chosen by both judges and fans to compete with four other bands who have already been selected in the Beijing Final: Kick Ass, Residence A, Raging Mob and Nakoma.
