Yen Fetish Update: Advice on Door Tickets

With the last remaining presale tickets for Saturday’s Yen Fetish party sold last night – and with hundreds of people expected to show up on the night looking to get in – the organizers, o2 Culture, have issued a statement with advice on Saturday’s door policy.

Read on:

“Yen Fetish Halloween presale tickets are sold out! Door tickets will be available on the night, but due to safety concerns and capacity restrictions, presale ticket holders have priority entry.

If you didn’t manage to get a presale ticket, you can still attend Yen Fetish. We advise all those seeking door tickets to avoid arriving during peak time (11pm-1am), as those without presale tickets will need to queue.

While we are excited by the unprecedented support for this Yen event and demand for tickets, we cannot exceed the venue capacity. We will do our best to safely accommodate as many party goers as possible, and ask for your understanding should you be required to queue for a short time.”

Basically, the message is that Yen is going to be very, very busy, and if you don’t have a ticket already, you might need to queue. If you’ve not planned your Halloween costume yet, you might also want to consider that it’s going to be bloody freezing if you end up queuing.

This event was badly organised. There was meant to be two queues; one for ticket holders and one for non ticket holders. Instead the queues were all merged together. I was right in front in the non ticket queue when the bouncer let someone in with a ticket... that's fine except people started jostling and I got trampled on. Not a fun experience for a small Chinese girl. I have scratches on my leg from that and yet the bouncers couldn't care less, my friends were fuming at their rudeness so we ended up going Sanlitun, better than the crap I had to put up with.
