The next bunch of categories are made up of the dishes synonymous with China, and the top spots to find them at. There’s crispy, aromatic Beijing Duck, Sichuan’s fiery Kung Pao Chicken, warm, soothing Hot Pot and delicate Cantonese Dim Sum.
Beijing Duck
Best: Da Dong "The conversation for where to go for Beijing's best duck pretty much begins and ends with Da Dong"
Outstanding: Quanjude "the highlight was by far the duck, which was easily the highest quality and best tasting duck that I’ve had"
Outstanding: Duck de Chine "The duck was very good and crowned with the best duck skin I've ever had"
Kung Pao Chicken
Best: Xiao Wang Fu "I love this restaurant. Excellent food and pretty good service. Highly recommend Beijing Duck and Kung Pao Chicken here"
Outstanding: South Beauty "Every dish is cooked very carefully, and the taste is very delicious"
Outstanding: Bellagio "The kung pao chicken is delicious. I love the sauce, sweet and not an oily mess"
Hot Pot
Best: Haidilao "This is the only place I go for hot pot - the food is worth craving for and the service is beyond excellent"
Outstanding: Little Sheep "If you want to try a good hot pot anywhere in China - always look for little sheep"
Outstanding: Ding Ding Xiang "thick, flavorsome dipping sauce, reasonable prices, and a clean, lively ambiance"
Dim Sum
Best: Din Tai Fung "Its delicious, the service is stellar, and its a nice atmosphere. I could not say one bad things about this establishment"
Outstanding: Jin Ding Xuan "The Dim Sum is consistently excellent, especially the Shao Mai"
Outstanding: Lei Garden "the best and the more proper dim sum in beijing, just like the one in Guang Zhou and Hong Kong"
