ChinaBoy, I'm confused by your comment. How do you spell "televised"?

Totally agree with China Boy - all that soccerball, basketball, baseball, tennis, rugby, cricket and NFL, and not even a mention of Quidditch? It's fortunate I have my Heyrobics to release the tension.

Basketball, tennis and football (soccer) are hardly "obscure" and "irrelevant" - but I'll grant you cricket and snooker

Re: Box Clever: Your Guide to Televised International Sport
Just by the way you spelled "televised", I knew the list of sports would be obscure and irrelevant.

Re: Box Clever: Your Guide to Televised International Sport
Here's a bit of an update since we featured this in the magazine's June issue.
Pomme O'Shea's can show all of the sports listed plus GAA and rugby in HD now that they have Setanta. Expect Paddy's to follow suit if it goes well.
Also, By the Tree - the newest bar in the forest of Sanlitun-based Belgian beer emporiums - has got TVs and they are primed for sport. We'll have to wait until the foreign leagues begin to check it out properly.
Finally, Grinders was among the top spots for the NHL Playoffs. Thankfully the Canadians present did not treat it like downtown Vancouver and they'll be able to show more sport for the foreseeable future. If you ask Trevor nicely he might even race the bar's dogs.
