Devilish Tasmanians: Win Dinner With The Wine Republic!

Beijing wine importers The Wine Republic are hosting a Northern Tasmanian wine dinner this Thursday (August 23) at Switch! Grill. They are bringing winemaker Jeremy Dineen from Josef Chromy winery to tell us all about what happens to grapes on the south side of the Bass Strait. The vineyard is well regarded for its pinot noir varietals but has also received accolades for their whites. You'll get to taste a little of five of them, paired with a delicious dinner from Switch! Grill. We've got a seat at the table (worth RMB 580) for one lucky reader. Read on to find out how to win and for what's on the menu.

The wines on the night will be Josef Chromy's Pepik Chardonnay 2010, Pepik Pinot Noir 2010, Pinot Gris 2010, Chardonnay 2010, Pinot Noir 2009 and Zdar Pinot Noir 2006. They'll be paired with the following courses:

Starter
Warm Summer Beets and Rich Yogurt, Field Greens and Lemon Oil
First course
Tuna Tartare, “Niscoise”
Main course
Grilled Lamb Chops with Mushroom Bolognese and Pecorino
Cheese
Crispy Goat Cheese Fondue, Plum and Pear salad, Crystallized Pecans, Pear Vinaigrette

If you want the free seat then answer this question: In which year did Josef Chromy flee his war-torn Czech village? Send your answers to win@thebeijinger.com before noon on Thursday, August 23. The winner will be notified soon after. Good luck.

If you don't want to wait to see if you win then RSVP with Danielle at The Wine Republic to book a seat. The evening starts at 7pm.
