Help Huiling: Charity Dinner This Saturday

This Saturday, Beijing Huiling will hold their 2012 charity dinner. This year’s theme is “Realize Your Dream” and in a year when the Paralympics have inspired and amazed us in equal measure, what better time to support another group that have the odds stacked against them? Beijing Huiling Community Services for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities hope to use the funds raised from the dinner to realize their dream of an “equal opportunity and equal participation” environment for their trainees. You can help them do that by eating dinner at the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs on Saturday night. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it.

Tickets are RMB 365 and available from the Huiling Center at Yanyue Hutong (off Dongsi Nanjie). You can also call them at 6525 4398 to book or get them from the south gate of the venue on the night. Included in the ticket price is a card for Any Beautiful (valued at RMB 1,000) so you’ll not only feel warm inside as you enjoy a buffet dinner but also become better-looking. Dinner starts at 6pm. And yes, there will be a lucky draw.
