The Beijing Soundcloud: Hanggai Music Festival 2013 Lineup

"Meet the world" and celebrate the best in Chinese ethnic and world music at the Hanggai Festival this weekend. For three days, bands from around the globe will be converging on the stage at Mako Live House to perform a variety of traditional folk styles. Organizers are hoping to build some bridges here. We'll save you the usual music-without-borders mumbo jumbo and leave it to you to see (or hear) that this is a worthy cause.

The tunes start tonight. Here's a taste of what's in store for you music junkies:

Day 1, June 14

Also look out for Qinghai Folk Singer at 9:00pm and Li Dong at 9:30pm

Day 2, June 15

4:00pm: Natascha Rogers

7:45pm: Hanggai

9:00pm: Randy Able Stable

10:15pm: Yemen Blues

Also look out for Bu Luo at 5:15pm and WHAI at 6:30pm

Day 3, June 16

4:00pm: Djang San

6:30pm: Dawanggang

10:25pm: Vanderbuyst

Also look out for The Down Syndrome at 5:15pm, IZ at 7:45pm and Turtle Island at 9:10pm
