Cold Snap on the Way: TV Viewers Hope Beijing Weatherman is Right

Had enough of the heat already? Relief is on the way, if one Beijing TV weatherman's forecast can be believed.

In his weather report just before 10pm Sunday night, weatherman Chong Wei offered the highs and lows for the coming week, accurately predicting the evening's thunderstorm (Yahoo! Weather certainly didn't). Friday will be the week's hottest day with a top temperature of 33 degrees Celsius. But Wednesday night would most likely not require air conditioning, with temperatures dipping to...-7 degrees?

While some cooler and less humid weather would be a treat in the heart of the Beijing summer, a 42-degrees temperature swing seems unlikely. Wednesday will be cooler with rain expected, with other sources telling us that the day's low will likely be around 20 degrees Celsius, which should be fine for sleeping with the window open.
