Friday, July 12: Monthly Wine Talk: Taste Australia

Capital M is partnering up with The Wine Republic to give participants an opportunity to taste their way around Australia. Seven varieties of Australian wines will be presented for tasting. RMB 138. 6.30pm.

Sunday, July 14: Capital String Quartet: A Bastille Day Concert

Capital M’s musical celebration of French national day features a program inspired by the French Revolution and the climate that triggered it. The Beijing Central Conservatory’s Capital String Quartet will perform classical music from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. RMB 75 (includes a drink), RMB 20 (students). 5.30pm.

Saturday July 20: CET’s Capital Conversations: Da Shan (Mark Rowswell), in conversation with David Moser

Da Shan, "China's most famous foreigner" provides a 25-year retrospective on Chinese television, the changing media landscape, perceptions of foreigners in China, cross-cultural relations, and what it's like to be a cultural icon.
