Talking Tunes: Don't Miss the Album Leaf on May 31
New Noise is excited to bring in San Diego based post-rock unit The Album Leaf, on May 31 at Yugong Yishan. Centered mainly around the musical dynamo Jimmy LaValle, it is very much a fusion of styles that blend together in beautiful orchestral instrumentals, utilizing both electric and acoustic sounds.
Truthfully I haven't listened to The Album Leaf since my freshmen year of college, but it's safe to say that they are probably one of the more interesting bands to emerge from San Diego, CA. This magnificent musical event will be supported by Me:mo. Expect a magical evening of tunes and live visuals to get you in the groovy. Highly recommended for fans of Sigur Ros, Four Tet and múm.
