Get Back in the Nightlife Saddle with These Bucking Weekend Events
We bet everyone is still recuperating after a cornucopia of bacchanalian Lunar New Year shindigs and Southeast Asia vacations, but it's time to once again zip on your party armor for a weekend of disco mayhem and solid bar events that will be impossible to miss.
Mar 6: Dim Sum Disco
The madness begins with Dim Sum Disco, who will be burning down the house with some exceptionally sleazy disco tracks that will hark back to some groovy eras of synthesized dance music. Don't expect to see some fist pumping lad just pressing play, because DJs Boflex and Crystal Bones really know their way around the decks and are sure to blow that weekday grind right from your mind. Entrance is free before 11pm and RMB 30 after.
Mar 6 & 7: Funky is Back!
Funky returns to the scene with a packed lineup of party tunes from DJs Javy, F. Daniel, Stephen Hu, and Ocean. Prepare to be sent cruising in their newly refurbished party zone decked out in reflective floors, invisible steps up to the bar and a quieter lounge area, if the DJ isn't helping your pickup game. It's RMB 80 to get in, but the sweaty memories are free.
Mar 8: Slow Boat Women's Day Tap Takeover and Fundraiser
This Sunday, make sure to head over to Slow Boat Brewery, from 11.30am-10pm, for International Women's Day, where Slow Boat will collaborate with three female brewers doing some unique things in China's brewing scene. All profits from the sale of these crafty suds will go to The Starfish Project, a China based charitable organization that provides vocational training and employment support for women.
